SourceRE CEO recognized for advancing MLS data technology, pioneering Data Dye™ fraud detection and compliance tracking
WASHINGTON, D.C. — Andrew Coca, Founder and CEO of SourceRE, has been named the 2026 Innovator of the Year at the REALTORS® Legislative Meetings. The recognition follows SourceRE’s launch of Data Dye™, the proprietary forensic tracking technology built-into its MLS data distribution platform.
Launched in the Hive MLS market, the Data Dye™ pilot revealed over 1,000 license violations as well as multiple coordinated attempts to circumvent the MLS by vendors. Data Dye™ caught several different types of violations, including data scraping, outright reselling of MLS data, misrepresentation of permitted use, and under-reporting the number of licensees.
Coca began his career selling real estate at 19 years of age and grew a team of 30 agents before founding a PropTech company in his early 20’s. He then went on to found Modern.tech, an AI and technology services company that has served top-ten brokerages, publicly traded PropTech companies, and key MLS and Association organizations, before creating SourceRE to address what he describes as the industry’s root-cause problems rather than symptomatic ones.
“This award is an incredible honor and proof that MLS technology can be innovative instead of a roadblock to innovation,” said Andrew Coca, Founder and CEO of SourceRE. “We are proud to champion MLS data sovereignty, and we share this award with all the courageous MLS leaders who refused to accept the status quo.”
